bELA, “Do You Care”

It’s been a long hard road for bELA; After releasing her debut in 2007, “…The Death Of Gypsy X” has become the sleeper hit of 2010 – in Europe and her homeland of Portugal. It helped that the debut’s lead single was a haunting, re-imagined version of Guns N’ Roses classic, “Don’t Cry” which reached number 3 on Portugal’s national radio chart. With that strong single backing her, “Do You Care” was released to even greater fanfare after becoming a part of the soundtrack for T.V. series “Morangos Com Acucar” and it even won the John Lennon Songwriting Competition. With a new album due out in the spring of 2011, first single “Do You Care” is reintroducing her to Canadian fans via MuchMusic – surely there is nothing standing in her way for North American domination.
